Go Rental - Corporate Interview Videography at Auckland Airport
As part of our ongoing series with Grow Tourism NZ, Vantirra visited Go Rental's office at Auckland Airport to film a professional interview video for their online training module contribution. Go Rental is a well-known New Zealand car rental company serving both locals and international visitors, making them a natural fit for a tourism workforce development series.
The Project Brief
Grow Tourism NZ approached Vantirra to produce a series of interview videos for their online learning platform - a professional development resource designed for New Zealand's tourism and hospitality workforce. Each video features a different industry contributor sharing their expertise, experiences, and insights into what excellent visitor service looks like in practice. Go Rental, as one of New Zealand's most recognisable car rental brands serving both domestic and international travellers, brought a grounded, frontline perspective to the series. The brief was clear: produce a polished, professional interview video that felt authentic, informative, and visually consistent with the wider series.
Filming at Auckland Airport
The Auckland Airport office provided a dynamic, industry-relevant backdrop that grounded the interview in the real world of tourism and transport. Filming on location at an active airport office comes with its own set of challenges, ambient noise, fluctuating light conditions, and limited space to set up a proper production environment. Vantirra arrived early to assess the space, position the camera to make the most of the available natural light, and set up acoustic treatment to minimise background noise. The result was a clean, professional interview setup that felt natural to the location rather than forced.
The Production Process
Vantirra managed the full production from setup to delivery. On shoot day, we handled camera, lighting, and audio - running a dual-camera setup to give the edit more flexibility and reduce the need for a second take of every answer. The subject was briefed beforehand to ensure they felt comfortable and confident on camera, which is one of the most important parts of producing a genuine, watchable interview. In post-production, we colour graded the footage to match the visual style of the wider Grow Tourism series, mixed the audio for clarity, and delivered the final cut within the agreed timeline.
What the Video Was For
Like the other interviews in this Grow Tourism series, the Go Rental video was produced for an online learning module, giving New Zealand's tourism workforce an inside look at how businesses like Go Rental operate, what great customer service looks like on the ground, and what it means to be part of the wider New Zealand visitor experience. The finished video was integrated directly into the Grow Tourism e-learning platform, where it serves as an educational resource for hospitality and tourism professionals across New Zealand.
