What started as a single production brief has grown into one of Vantirra's most significant ongoing partnerships. When Grow Tourism NZ needed a videographer to bring their online training modules to life, they turned to Hugo Chan at Vantirra - and that relationship has since produced a growing library of professional interview and event content that reaches tourism and hospitality workers across New Zealand.

About Grow Tourism NZ

Grow Tourism is one of New Zealand's leading tourism workforce development organisations, building capability across the industry through training, resources, and online learning modules. Their platform gives tourism and hospitality professionals - from frontline team members to business owners - access to real expertise from people who have built careers in the sector.

That content only works if it's filmed properly. A poorly produced interview undermines the credibility of even the most knowledgeable subject. Grow Tourism understood that, and finding a production partner who could deliver consistently across multiple shoots and locations was essential.

The Brief

Grow Tourism needed authentic, professionally filmed interview segments featuring real voices from across New Zealand's tourism sector - people who could speak credibly about hospitality, visitor experience, sustainability, and service excellence. The content had to work inside an online learning platform, which means it had to hold attention without a facilitator, sound clean on laptop speakers, and feel natural on camera.

Vantirra was brought in as the production partner to make that happen.

What the Partnership Has Covered

Over the course of the relationship, Vantirra has filmed for Grow Tourism across a range of shoots and formats - including expert interviews with tourism development specialists, sustainability case studies featuring hotel leaders, multi-day event coverage at national industry conferences, and online module content filmed at venues across Auckland and New Zealand.

Notable shoots in the series include filming Brad Rowe for Grow Tourism's Visitor Experience Design module, covering TRENZ 2024 at Takina Wellington, filming Clinton Farley at Hotel Britomart for the Akiaki sustainability series, and producing interview content for the Te Haeata business events qualification at Hotel Cordis Auckland.

Each shoot required the same standard - clean audio, professional lighting, a composed and natural interview on camera - regardless of the venue or the subject.

How We Work On Set

Hugo Chan handles each Grow Tourism production end to end, managing camera placement, lighting design, and audio capture, as well as guiding interview subjects through the session to help them feel confident and natural in front of the camera. For online education content especially, the way a subject comes across matters as much as what they say.

The goal on every shoot is the same: the viewer shouldn't be thinking about the production. They should be focused entirely on the person speaking.

Corporate Interview Video Production in Auckland and New Zealand

Vantirra's work with Grow Tourism is a strong example of what a long-term production partnership looks like - consistent quality across multiple shoots, locations, and subjects, delivered to a brief that serves a specific platform and audience.

If your organisation needs professional interview video content for online training, thought leadership, or internal communications, Vantirra works with businesses, training providers, and government organisations across Auckland and New Zealand.
