Flying in to say I do?

New Zealand is one of the simplest places in the world to get married. Couples fly in for it, sometimes with a few family members, sometimes just the two of them.

No residency needed. Visitors marry here on the same terms as locals.

A marriage licence

Apply online through the Department of Internal Affairs at least 3 working days before the ceremony. It costs $158.

A celebrant

Confirm them first, because the licence application asks who they are.

Two witnesses

They need to understand the ceremony and be able to identify you both. Our full elopement guide has the details.

Our elopement package is NZD $800 including GST. It covers 2 hours at one location with one photographer, 150 to 200+ high-resolution edited images, sneak peeks within 48 hours, and a private online gallery with downloads. There are no travel fees within Auckland.

Yes. Elopement videography is available on request, filmed by the same team, so tell us if you would like film as well and we will add it to your quote.

Apply online for a marriage licence at least 3 working days before the ceremony (it costs $158), book a celebrant, and bring two witnesses. The rules are the same anywhere in New Zealand, and you do not need to be a resident.

Not always. Auckland Council lists several parks and beaches, including Bethells Beach, that you can use for a ceremony without booking. Bookable spaces such as the Domain Wintergardens and Auckland Botanic Gardens need a booking, and you need a permit for extras like marquees, catering, alcohol or amplified sound.

A photographer who is working cannot easily be in the photos and holding a pen at the same time. Most couples bring their own two witnesses, or ask their celebrant how they usually handle a two-person ceremony.

Auckland weather changes quickly, so we plan a covered backup with you, not just an umbrella. Deposits are non-refundable except in extreme weather, but we are happy to reschedule if we have availability.

Check your date with us first. To secure it, we need a signed contract and a 25% deposit, both handled digitally.
