Who is Brad Rowe?
Brad Rowe is one of New Zealand's most respected tourism development and visitor experience design experts. Through his consultancy Tourism x Design, he has advised some of New Zealand's leading tourism businesses, guided regional development initiatives, and launched award-winning tourism ventures - including the internationally acclaimed mountain biking experience at Skyline Queenstown.
On Grow Tourism, Brad leads a three-part course pathway - The Art and Science of Visitor Experience Design - that has become a cornerstone resource for tourism professionals looking to deliver standout visitor experiences. He's also a sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator, having worked with Regional Tourism Organisations and national tourism events across New Zealand and internationally.

The Production
Hugo Chan handled the full on-location production - camera, lighting, audio, and interview direction - to ensure Brad's insights were captured clearly and compellingly. The goal was an interview that felt authoritative but approachable, in keeping with the educational tone of Grow Tourism's learning platform.
Brad's depth of knowledge and natural communication style made the session genuinely engaging. Some subject matter experts are brilliant but difficult to film - too technical, too formal, or too aware of the camera. Brad was none of those things. The conversation flowed, and the camera picked it up.
