Advancing Tourism
The best lessons in tourism often come from the people who already run tourism businesses. That is the idea at the heart of this film. Akiaki puts local business owners in the room, so learners hear it straight from the source.
We made Advancing Tourism for Grow Tourism and Akiaki. Akiaki is a free online training programme for people working in New Zealand tourism, from frontline team members to managers and business owners. Its modules are built on real examples and case studies from across the industry. Our job was to make that idea clear and easy to follow in a short film.
With training content, the viewer should be thinking about the message, not the production. So clean audio, good lighting and people who look at ease on camera come first. The film was made in Auckland and released in April 2025, part of an ongoing partnership with Grow Tourism.
